    The Airwalk suspension system


    The Airwalk suspension system uses air power provided by a small compressor (optional equipment at an additional cost) and the Airwalk vest to support the patient. The Airwalk's unweighting range allows the patient to perform low impact kinetic exercises in an upright functional position. Activities such as walking, running, climbing stairs, jumping, and balancing can all be safely performed in an unweighted state.

    Suspension allows rehabilitation to start earlier, using task-specific functional exercise without pain. The amount of weight removed is precisely controlled by the clinician 5kg (10 lbs) to 50 kg (110 lbs), and the unweighted body weight is supported by a range of oscillation allowing your client to walk, run, perform step-ups and step-downs, retrain from sitting to standing and do full or partial squats in exercise mode. The Airwalk  also gives you the option of unweighted lateral and retro exercises.

    The cable assembly (pull cord) is a non-consumable part and can be easily damaged due to improper use. There is no warranty on the pull rope. The cable assembly should be replaced every 6 months or at the first sign of wear, which may even be earlier than 6 months.
