Eligibility
Offered to physiotherapists, physiotherapy technologists, athletic therapists, and chiropractors.
Prerequisites
You must have completed the online training (theoretical part). You will receive an email with the viewing link two weeks before the training so that you can view the theoretical part prior to the practical part.
General Objectives
Develop a theoretical and practical knowledge of the use of therapeutic cups in a clinical context:
1-Identify the different contexts of use:
Identify the reasons for consultation and contraindications.
Understand the mechanisms of action and physiological effects.
Recognize desirable and undesirable reactions.
Scientific update and evidence-based data.
2-Handle the cups and become familiar with the different techniques:
Know the 6 factors modulating cup treatment.
Distinguish the characteristics specific to each cupping technique.
3-Integrate cup manipulations into a therapeutic context in physiotherapy:
Ensure effective and safe treatment.
Properly clean, disinfect, and store your cups to comply with various regulations.
Recognize the internal and external causes of pain felt by the patient during cupping treatment.
Develop practical skills in carrying out the cupping protocols suggested in the course.
