General objectives
This course is designed for clinicians who wish to become more effective and efficient in the assessment and treatment of pathologies found in the upper quadrant. A variety of treatment approaches will be offered, based on the extensive clinical experience of the 2 instructors and the latest scientific literature.
Specific objectives
Understand the important links between posture and upper quadrant pathologies.
Perform differential diagnosis of common pathologies encountered in the upper quadrant (cervicobrachialgia, impingement syndrome, epicondylitis, carpal tunnel, De Quervain's tenosynovitis, etc.).
Practice specific and clinically effective treatment techniques for the upper quadrant (postural exercises, motor control exercises, myofascial techniques, exercises for tendinopathies and taping techniques, etc.).
Understand current scientific evidence on the assessment and treatment of upper quadrant pathologies.
Clinically apply effective assessment and treatment methods to the cervical and dorsal region.
Clinically apply effective assessment and treatment methods to the shoulder, elbow and wrist.
Dress code
We strongly recommend that women wear tank tops.
