Eligibility

Training offered for any professional interested in Parkinsonian Syndromes (Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Neuropsychologist, Occupational Therapist, Nursing, Physicians, Pharmacists, Nutritionist, etc). This is interdisciplinary training.


General objectives

The objective of the training is to offer professionals working with people with Parkinsonian Syndrome an understanding of the disease, promoting an approach based on evidence and specifically adapted to this clientele.


Specific objectives

  • Understand the pathophysiological manifestations of Parkinsonian syndromes

  • Recognize the clinical symptoms of Parkinsonian syndromes

  • State the process and criteria for diagnosing Parkinsonian syndromes

  • Identify the cognitive and psychological aspects of Parkinsonian syndromes

  • Choose an assessment approach based on standardized tools and exploit their qualities 

  • Use approaches appropriate to the signs and symptoms present in the affected person

  • Exploit intervention strategies allowing optimal rehabilitation 

  • Know the avenues of research and new avenues of intervention
