Training offered for massage therapists, physiotherapy technologists, athletic therapists, physiotherapists, and chiropractors.
Prérequis
Structural Myofascial Therapy® Level 1 with one of Baron Bodyworks accredited faculty
General objectives
At the end of this course, participants will have deepened their understanding of somatic postural awareness and learned new manual techniques specific to various problems of the myofascial system®.
Specific objectives
Apply more advanced subjective assessment techniques using Postural Somatic Awareness (PSA).
Apply SMFT® techniques with a solid understanding of their relationship to the body as a whole.
Integrate Postural Somatic Awareness during clinical sessions.
Integrate exercises to be done at home.
Use treatment protocols safely.
Work at all times with good body alignment.
During this course, you will learn:
Specific techniques for the back, hips, legs, and feet.
Seated techniques
Exercises for motor control and global integration.
Advanced postural awareness and the exploration of movements that accompany resulting information.
How to integrate the new techniques more specifically that address injuries, discomfort, and postural difficulties.
Required material
A pen, and a marker.
Dress code
For women: we suggest a bathing suit top or tank top or "tube top" to facilitate the learning of somatic postural awareness.
For everyone: Easy-to-move underwear to facilitate work on the hips and buttocks.

This training provides 16 hours of continuing education credits.
